Absolutely love this place, potato salad is amazing although you can tell the workers hate their life. Food is great though

Good size+quality to price ratio. 26$ for 2 is not much and we were full after the last bit from the plate

Now you would think after these 2 experiences I would of learnt my lesson, it's just a reflection on me at this point. If you continue to walk through a neighborhood and get shot at, you'd probably avoid it right? Not me. I strapped on a bullet proof vest and went for it again. This time trying potato scallops. They weren't cooked enough. Tasted like flour and undercooked potato. At this point, I give up.

I hope you work on customer service and producing a better product. You owe it to the people!

When I got to the store my order was being called just as I walk in. Perfect timing the food will be fresh, or so I thought. As I'm paying I ask the owner (well I assume he is the owner) if there was lemon with the fish inside the wrapping. He confirmed it twice. I get home and lo and behold.. no lemon. The fish was average and the chips taste like they were cooked in 2 day old oil and they were stale like they have been sitting there for a couple hours, but I walked in as my order was being called, so I wasn't late.. I came to the conclusion that they must be using left over chips. I thought 'okay, one bad experience maybe it was an off night for them'

so a few weeks later I ordered again, asked for chicken salt on the chips 3 times and confirmed when I walked in.. get home, no chicken salt on chips and they tasted the same, old and stale. I know people say that a lot about chips just because it seems like the common description to express someone's distaste for the chips 'ugh these are stale' but I genuinely mean it.. they had to of been left out, cooked with bad oil, and reheated a couple of times.. it's the only explanation I can think of, or they are buying very poor quality chips. I've settled on a mixture of both.

I'm not the type to complain because I know what it's like to work in customer service. So this should tell you just how bad every experience has been when someone who literally never complains says 'come on man, this sucks'

Should have trusted the reviews in this instance. I don't think i have ever thrown out fish & chips in my life but we did this time. The owners need to look at the bad reviews and fix what is wrong. Definetly won't be going back here. The fish was tasteless, couldn't tell hake from barramundi, the potato cakes (scollops) were over cooked and greasy and the chips were something like McCains or the like. Trust the reviews people.

Never posted a review in my life but this HAD to be done. Just moved close to where the store is located and was happy for this to be my local fish and chip shop. However, I have come to the conclusion that driving to the other side of town is better than continuing to put myself through the torture of eating here and dealing with the owner. I have tried this place 3 times in hopes that the next time will be better than the last. Oh boy how I was wrong. Where to start.. The phone number just rings through to a mobile where the owner answers 'yep?' Then after yelling my order over the phone because their back ground noise is so loud he says 'ok' then hangs up. Stern and to the point I thought (which is beneficial in some forms of business) but this is hospitality, service should be paramount from the initial order right through to the collection of order. I wasn't going to let that deter me from what could be a great dinner. I ordered fish and chips for my partner and I (she's really cute, so I thought I'd spoil her and get her a nice barramundi) after being reminded by her 3 times to 'make sure the fish has lemon with it' I wasn't going to forget.

Mulgrave seafoods, I honestly tried. I gave you guys every chance to improve customer service, improve the quality of your food, and at least put a slice of lemon with the fish and some seasoning on the chips.. but you just couldn't do it. The worst part of it all I think, is the clear lies. You have a snap respose of 'yes!' When asked if there is lemon, if there is seasoning.. and instead of delivering on your assurance, you guess and you are wrong. I understand that someone depends on someone who depends on someone and 'so and so should of put it in' but at what point does someone actually make it happen? I can live with the lies, but the poor quality of food is inexcusable. This is your livelihood isn't it? You have one guy out the front and 3-4 women in the back cooking.. I'd assume you all pay your bills with profits from the store, so why not do a job well done? Why not actually make the effort to produce quality service and food?
